Wrinkles and Crows Feet

Wrinkle treatments with botulinum toxin is becoming increasingly popular, and with good reason. In many cases, botulinum toxin is a very effective method for reducing wrinkles.

What are the benefits of Botox to treat wrinkles & crows feet?

Botulinum toxin can be used to smooth wrinkles in the forehead and around the eyes to create a more youthful appearance. Removing wrinkles from between the eyes can dramatically change a person’s look from one of permanent anger or sadness to one of contentment and rest. It is also frequently used on the thin wrinkles that surround the eyes (often called crows feet).

‘Botulinum A toxin’ is a purified protein made from botulism bacteria. This solution temporarily paralyses nerves of the facial muscles so that they cannot contract and cause wrinkles in the area being treated.

Botulinum toxin may also be helpful in treating excess sweating of the palms and underarms.

Wrinkle treatments are unique in that they can be used to remove dynamic wrinkles – the wrinkles that are produced by facial movement.

Wrinkle treatments are brief and simple. Very small amounts of Botulinum toxin are strategically injected in different parts of the forehead/face. This is accomplished with thin needles that cause very little pain.
